About John Fleming, President and Managing partner
Prior to founding SX Business Services, Inc. in 2008, Mr. Fleming worked in both publicly traded and privately held companies in financial and accounting positions for over 25 years. Mr. Fleming served as Vice President of Accounting for a Real Estate and Property Management Company for over 15 years. His career also includes working in multiple industries including Medical, Correctional Management, Construction, and Information Technology.
During his tenure with these companies, in addition to being responsible for all financial related matters for the company, he was tasked with working directly with Operations and Mergers and Acquisitions. He was directly responsible for all financial related matters including financial reporting, treasury management, financial planning and analysis, and property accounting. He was also directly involved in mergers and acquisitions teams whereby he was tasked with the financial strategy of the merger and acquisition as well as on boarding and integrating the company functions. Mr. Fleming was responsible for managing the financial performance for over 49,000 property units nationwide, which included among other items; streamlining functions, cost analysis, billing and collections, accounts receivable trending, insurance analysis and ancillary statistics.
Mr. Fleming also specializes in streamlining processes and procedures by implementing technological solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. The result of this is a reduction of back office overhead of 30% to 50%, more efficient processes and scalability of the business.
Mr. Fleming holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the Bentley University.
About Christine Dort, Vice President of Accounting
Ms. Dort had been in the Real Estate Property Management business since 1991 until she joined SX Business Services in 2015. Her career stretches from small privately held management companies to large national multi-family affordable housing firms. Ms. Clifford has extensive experience in corporate buyouts, overseeing software conversions, budget and forecasting modules, acquisition and dispositions, insurance losses, managing multiple client deadlines, and providing high level of customer service to all.
Ms. Dort has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Isenberg School of Management.
About Scott Anderson, Vice President of Business Process
Mr. Anderson joined SX Business Services in 2009 with 20 Years of A/P and A/R experience with International Law Firms and large Real Estate Companies. Mr. Anderson has experience with full spectrum payables and receivables, system analysis implementation and management, along with knowledge of various software platforms including Nexus Payables, Avid Exchange, Yardi, Entrata, OneSite, MRI, AppFolio, Sage, QuickBooks and Jenark. Scott has led and successfully managed multiple teams ranging between 4 and 20 employees.
